Carbon Monoxide Detector Requirements
Assembly Bill (AB) 2386: Care Facilities: Carbon Monoxide Detectors. AB 2386 requires community care facilities; residential care facilities for the elderly; residential care facilities for persons with chronic, life-threatening illnesses; and child care facilities to have one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet specified statutory requirements in the facility and requires the Department (Community Care Licensing) to account for the presence of the detectors during inspections.
